    Can Canbolat began his violin studies at age of 10 in Izmir, Turkey. He holds Masters and Doctoral degrees in Violin Performance from the University of Minnesota where he studied with Professor Mark Bjork. As a student, he performed in orchestras around the world including the International Youth Symphony Orchestra in Europe, the Jungenc Youth Orchestra in Germany, the Tang Y Mas Chamber Music Orchestra in Italy, and the University of Minnesota Duluth Opera Orchestra. Dr. Canbolat participated in master classes at the Keshet Eilon Violin School in Israel where he studied with CihatAskin, ShlomoMintz, and HagaiShaham. As a concerto competition winner, he has performed with the DESO Symphony Orchestra, DokuzEylul University Orchestra, and the University of Minnesota Orchestra. Currently, Dr. Canbolat teaches violin at the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts.
