Yinhui Stacy Li, piano
Dr. Yinhui “Stacy” Li began piano lessons at the age of five and gave her first public performances in China at the age of seven. She is an internationally active pianist, appearing as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States—including Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Tallahassee, Dallas, New York City—as well as in Germany, Greece, and major cities across China.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Li is known for cultivating an engaging and high-level learning environment. Her students have earned top honors and finalist placements in competitions such as the Dallas Solo Piano Competition and the Steinway Junior Piano Competition. She has taught students ranging from pre-kindergarten to college through private instruction and music camp programs.
In 2021, Dr. Li founded Prime Music Institute, the first All-Steinway private music school in Texas. In 2023, PMI made history as the first private music school from the Dallas–Fort Worth area invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. In 2024, Dr. Li and Prime Music Institute were featured in USA TODAY and Yahoo Finance, highlighting PMI’s innovative, holistic approach to music education and its national impact.
Dr. Li holds a master’s degree in Piano Performance from Bowling Green State University, where she studied with Dr. Robert Satterlee, and a Doctor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Florida State University, studying with the late Steinway Artist Joel Hastings and Dr. David Kalhous.
