    Sally Lamb McCune's music lives at the intersection of the poetic and the visceral—rooted in storytelling, shaped by collaboration, and driven by curiosity. Whether composing for the concert stage, theater or interdisciplinary projects, she crafts works that invite connection and spark conversation. Inspired by language, landscape and the nuances of human experience, her pieces often reflect a deep engagement with both place and people.

    McCune's work has gained national and international recognition with performances across North America and Europe. She has been recognized by the American Academy of Arts and Letters (Charles Ives Fellowship), the American Composers Orchestra and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Her works are published by Hal Leonard Corp., G. Schirmer, and Murphy Music Press.

    McCune has served as guest composer at institutions and festivals across the US, including the Eastman School of Music, University at Buffalo, University of Georgia, University of South Carolina, Seal Bay Festival, Songfest, The College of New Jersey and South Shore Conservatory. She has taught at Cornell University and Syracuse University and is currently on faculty at Ithaca College.
