    Lyndsie Wilson is a professional horn player and educator in the Tampa Bay, Central and Southwest Florida areas. Lyndsie enjoys a diverse career as an active performing artist with many of the ensembles and theaters around the Tampa area. Before coming to Florida in the fall of 2025, Lyndsie was a valued member of the premier arts organizations in Philadelphia, PA. She regularly performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Philly POPS, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Opera Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Ballet, and was the Principal Horn for the Broadway musicals at the historic Walnut Street Theatre. Lyndsie has also enjoyed playing extra and substitute horn with The Cleveland Orchestra on numerous occasions. Ms. Wilson is the Principal Horn of the Bay Atlantic Symphony in Southern New Jersey, where she performed as soloist on the "Concerto for Horn and Strings" by Gordon Jacob in January 2026. Currently, Lyndsie plays with The Florida Philharmonic, St. Pete Opera, Venice Symphony, Naples Philharmonic, and has been playing for the US Broadway musical tours in Tampa, and Orlando, FL. She will be returning as Second Horn with the Sarasota Opera Association in 2026, after being an orchestra member there from 2002-2012.

    Lyndsie Wilson is the Professor of Horn at the University of South Florida, where she is building a talented horn studio. At USF, Lyndsie teaches weekly lessons, leads the Horn Studio class, directs the USF Horn Ensemble and coaches chamber music ensembles. Lyndsie is a member of the USF Faculty Woodwind Quintet, and was soloist with the USF Wind Ensemble, performing the exciting piece, "Cape Horn" by Otto Schwartz. Ms. Wilson also teaches privately to all levels of horn players, and enjoys sharing masterclasses with horn and brass students around the region. Before joining the faculty at USF, Lyndsie was the Adjunct Professor of Horn at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ from 2012-2025. At Rowan, she built a successful horn studio, sharing lessons, created the Rowan Horn Ensemble, lead horn studio class and coached chamber music ensembles.

    As an advocate for the horn, Lyndsie hosted numerous events including the International Horn Society's Northeast Horn Workshop in 2014, bringing regional horn players and university ensembles to perform together at Rowan University. Lyndsie provided a weekend of guest artists, masterclasses, lectures, recitals, and concerts. She was a performing solo artist in the opening concert and performed with the Philadelphia Horn Quartet. In 2017, Lyndsie was a co-host for the International Women's Brass Conference held at Rowan University. Lyndsie helped organize a week-long event of Performing Artists, Competitions, Masterclasses, Exhibitors, Recitals and Concerts. She was also a performing artist, premiering the winning concerto for the Composition Competition. In her continued efforts to promote the horn, Lyndsie welcomed the internationally acclaimed American Horn Quartet to Rowan University in 2023, where she performed in concert with them as a guest artist during their US Tour. Lyndsie also founded and directed a large horn choir, called the Liberty Horn Club, bringing together all-ages and skill levels of horn players in Philadelphia to perform and celebrate the horn.

    During the summers, Lyndsie has performed in the orchestras for the Spoleto Festival, USA in Charleston, SC, and the New Jersey Opera Festival in Princeton, NJ for numerous years. She is on the faculty for the Adult Summer Chamber Music Program at the Kinhaven Music School in Vermont. Internationally, Ms. Wilson has performed with the Spoleto Festival de dui Mondi in Spoleto, Italy, and the Opera Festival Lyrique en Mer in Belle-ile en Mer, France. She is excited to join the faculty for the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Piedmont, Italy in the summer of 2026.

    Lyndsie received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and her Master of Music degree in Music Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Her predominant instructors include Randy Gardner, Eli Epstein, Richard King, Rick Solis, Nolan Miller, Jerome Ashby, Julie Landsman, and Jennifer Montone.
