    Yuliya Balabicheva, piano



    Pianist Yuliya Balabicheva, recently appointed as a collaborative pianist at the Haydn Konservatorium in Eisenstadt, Austria in 2018, has performed substantially as a soloist and chamber musician in France, Italy, Holland, Austria, Greece, Russia and Kazakhstan. She was featured in a radio broadcast on WDR and Deutschland Rundfunk in Colonge as well as Radio Classic in Almaty. Ms. Balabicheva has played and worked with such outstanding musicians as David Walter, Orfeo Mandozzi, Rinat Ibragimov, Corrado Giuffredi, Marco Pierobon, Nikolai Popov, Enrico Fagone among many others, and has been a member of Duo Printemps with the clarinetist Christoph Schneider since 2013.

    Born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, she gave her first public concert as a soloist with orchestra at the age of seven. After studing in the Almaty Conservatory, she moved to Germany for a Masters of Chamber Music Degree with Anthony Spiri in Colonge, and subsequently a Piano Solo Masters Degree with Nina Tichman, Florence Millet, Paolo Alvares, and a Masters of Duo Performers Degree with Evgeny Sinaiski at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.

    In 2016, Ms. Balabicheva was invited to play at the Kurt Weill Festival in Berlin with chamber music partners Arsenis Selalmazidis and Christoph. The next year she and her partner Katerina Chatzinikolaou were invited to play a concert in the Acropolis Museum in Athens, Greece. Yuliya will join the Artist Faculty of the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Piedmont, Italy in July of 2018.
