    Paige Sentianin, soprano

    Paige Sentianin, soprano, has been praised for her clear sound and “coquettish vivacity both in her acting and singing.” Credits include Adela in the new opera Lottie Silks, Little Red in Cesar Cui’s Little Red Riding Hood, Giannetta in The Elixir of Love, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Valencienne in The Merry Widow, Papagena in The Magic Flute, Maguelonne in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon, Miss Pinkerton in The Old Mais and the Thief, and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance. In addition to opera, she has performed soprano solos in works including the Poulenc Gloria, the Mozart Requiem, the Vivaldi Gloria, Caldara’s Missa dolorosa, as well as cantatas by Bach. Paige holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy degree from the University of Colorado Boulder where she studied with Matthew Chellis. Her thesis titled "Natural Singing: A Guide for Using the Alexander Technique to Teach Voice," helped inform her teaching philosophy of vocal freedom and body awareness. Paige is an adjunct professor of voice at the University of Tampa and conducts two choirs at St. Paul Catholic Church. Recently, she has been singing with Opera Tampa and the Reflections Chamber Ensemble. She enjoys spending time with her husband, harpist John McColley, and their dog Wolfgang.
