    Myles Nardinger, conductor

    Myles Nardinger is a conductor and pianist currently completing his doctorate in music at the University of Houston. He has been the assistant conductor and general manager for the Moores School of Music Orchestras, a guest conductor for the Conroe Symphony Orchestra in Texas, and an assistant conductor for the Texas Music Festival and the InterHarmony International Music Festival.

    Previously, he served as the assistant conductor for Butler University Ballet in Indianapolis, participating in productions of The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, and Coppélia. As a music director and a conductor, Nardinger’s past productions include Marriage of Figaro, La Traviata, La Cenerentola, Albert Herring, Guys and Dolls, and Gypsy.

    As a collaborative artist, he has performed at The Finger Lakes Music Festival in New York and La Musica Lirica opera festival in Italy and accompanied Indianapolis Opera, Ball State University Opera Theatre, and Butler University Opera.

    In 2016, Nardinger assisted in editing the opera of Kurt Vonnegut’s Happy Birthday Wanda June by Richard Auldon Clark. He acted as principal coach for its world premiere production with Indianapolis Opera. His conducting teachers include Richard Auldon Clark, Mark Gibson, and Franz Anton Krager.
