    Mina Ahn, clarinet

    Mina Ahn, Korean-born clarinetist, is an Adjunct Professor of Clarinet at Baylor University School of Music. She has performed widely as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player, bringing a rich, diverse musical perspective. Ahn combines her cultural background with a wide-ranging musical approach, inspiring students to explore and grow in their craft.

    Following the completion of her bachelor's degree in Korea, she moved to the United States and received her master's degree from the Baylor University School of Music.

    Ahn was a winner of the Semper Pro Musica Competition and performed in Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall with the Capricho Quintet. She has performed in prestigious venues such as the Meyerson Symphony Center, Bass Performance Hall, Seoul Art Centre, Sejong Art Center, and Gumho Art Hall Yonsei. Additionally, she has appeared with the Waco Symphony Orchestra.

    She has been recognized in competitions, including the Semper Pro Musica Competition, SungJung Music Competition, Yonsei University Musical Concours, Music Education News Competition, Korea-Russia International Cultural Exchange Competition, Elysion Chamber Orchestra Competition, Arsmonia Chamber Orchestra Music Competition, and the Ye-eum Music Competition. She is also a recipient of the Larry Vanlandingham Outstanding Instrumentalist Graduate Student Award.
