    Alexandra Pavlova, piano

Born in Kazakhstan, Alexandra Pavlova began her musical journey at the age of 9. Just six months later, she made her public debut, and in the following years, she won four major piano competitions in Kazakhstan, earning both audience and special prizes.

In 2006, she moved to Saint Petersburg to continue her education at The State Conservatory’s Music Academy. During her studies, she participated in numerous festivals and concerts organized by the Conservatory and the Government of Saint Petersburg. In 2009, she was the only piano student in her school invited to perform as a soloist and chamber musician in concerts across Europe.

After successfully graduating from the Saint Petersburg Academy of Music, she was admitted to The Moscow State Conservatory, where she further refined her artistry under the guidance of Ruvim Ostrovsky. She also attended masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Jean-Marc Luisada, Filippo Faes, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Stanislav Pochekin, Mikhail Voskresensky, and Boris Petrushansky.

In 2014, she completed the prestigious Accademia Chigiana program under the guidance of Liliya Zilberstein. From 2013 to 2021, Alexandra pursued her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at The Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin, studying with Eldar Nebolsin.

    Her recent competition achievements include:

    • 3rd Prize at the Hanns Eisler International Contemporary Music Competition (Berlin).
    • Robert Schumann Prize at the Knopf International Competition (Düsseldorf).
    • Award at the Neapolitan Masters International Piano Competition.
    • Nikolai Luganski Special Award at the First International Russian Music Competition.
    • Selected among the top 32 pianists worldwide at the Sydney International Piano Competition.
    • Selected as the best pianist for the “Zambon” scholarship in Italy.

Now based in Italy, Alexandra has established a diverse career as both a soloist and chamber musician, performing across Europe. She has collaborated with Teatro La Fenice in Venice and has been a featured artist at prestigious venues such as Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi. She also works as an official accompanist for institutions such as the Accademia Perosi in Biella.

In 2022, she founded “Piano Breakfast”, a project that brings classical music to unconventional settings, combining performances with storytelling about composers and their works. The project has gained recognition in cities like Milan, Pordenone, and Naples, and has been staged in unique locations, including art galleries, design stores, abandoned buildings, and even wheat fields.

A versatile and expressive pianist, Alexandra continues to captivate audiences with her deep musical insight and powerful interpretations, solidifying her reputation as an artist of distinction.
