    Urska Haule Fegus, violin

    Violinist and chamber musician Urška Haule Feguš splits her life between States and Slovenia. In Ljubljana she studied with France Rizmal, Andrej Tičar, violinist of Slovene Philharmonic (SF), Ciril Škerjanc, Tomaž Lorenz, Alojz Srebotnjak, Ivo Petrič, Anton Nanut (conducting), Rok Klopčič, Dejan Bravničar (a student of David Oistrakh) and received master’s degree in violin performance and pedagogy from University of Ljubljana in Volodja Balžalorsky’s Studio. She was supported by Slovene Zois Scholarship Fund for Gifted through all of her studies, played in Slovene Radio and Television Orchestra before getting a full time position as violinist in Slovene National Theatre and Ballet Orchestra. She was awarded a title of Slovene Artist and was supported by The Slovene Ministry of Culture. In USA she got inspired when teaching young students, received SAA teacher training grants to study with P. Barsalou, J. Bussoat, A. Lieb, K. Meiers Sims, E. Sprunger and L. Stieg, taught private, chamber and orchestra classes at Brunswick Academy of Music, NJ Chinese Elite Preparatory School and Westminster Conservatory including coaching Honors Music Program and introducing strings through the Early Childhood Department’s outreach program. She taught and continues teaching at the NJ Suzuki workshops, Try It Out Summer Camps and Westminster Chamber Camp and maintaining her own studio. Her students are winners of NJ orchestra auditions as well as national regional and state solo and chamber music competitions. She can be heard frequently in chamber music programs in the greater Princeton area including working on the proposals for Faculty Concerts and enjoys playing for Westminster Choir College Choirs and nonprofit Tim Keyes Consort concerts. She is looking forward to Violins of Hope Project in Princeton in the fall.
