    David Pittel, trumpet

    David Pittel, an established trumpet artist residing in Los Angeles, is enjoying an active performing career in a wide variety of musical venues. He has recorded for the film and television industry, played in numerous orchestras, musicals, performed with some of Los Angeles’ outstanding big bands and small ensembles, and presented solo recitals demonstrating his virtuosity on trumpet, flugelhorn and piccolo trumpet. Mr. Pittel has a passion for teaching the next generation of musicians and is currently serves as adjunct professor of trumpet at: California State University, Fullerton, University of California, Riverside, Riverside City College, and Antelope Valley College.

    Mr. Pittel holds a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Trumpet Performance from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Music degree from the University of California Los Angeles. His primary teachers include: Jens Lindemann, Jon Lewis, Ray Sasaki, Raymond Crisara, and Bernie Nero. Since moving to Los Angeles, Mr. Pittel has performed with many ensembles including the Santa Barbara Symphony, Santa Barbara Choral Society, Antelope Valley Symphony, Pacific Palisades Symphony, Golden State Pops Orchestra, Cypress Pops Orchestra, Satin Brass, Brass Knights Quintet, Don Ellis Reunion Big Band, John Daversa Progressive Big Band, Geo Valle Big Band, Ron King Big Band, Bruce Lofgren Jazz Orchestra, Ed Neumeister Jazz Orchestra, and numerous pop artists including Engelbert Humperdink, Jenni Rivera, Marco Antonio Solis, Cristian Castro, Jose Jose, and Jennifer Lopez.
