TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION TO THE FESTIVAL:
Every applicant must submit an application, a tape exhibiting
their level of playing, and the non-refundable application fee of
$60 USD . The application will be processed immediately. You are then
required to make a $200 USD deposit by March 16, 2009, to reserve
a place on acceptance to the festival. The remaining fees are due by April 20, 2009.
TAPE REQUIREMENTS:
- It should be made on the instrument for which you are applying.
- it should contain two contrasting pieces.
- it should be no longer than 30 minutes.
THE DEADLINE for submitting your application is: March 1, 2009.
If you miss the March 1 deadline: the late application fee is $75 USD.
CANCELLATION FEES:
Cancellation fees may apply, depending on cancellation date.
Fees will not be refundable after May 10, 2009.
TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS:
A complimentary shuttle service* will be provided to and from Freiburg main train station at the beginning and end of the Festival: On July 22, 2009 the shuttle to Hinterzarten/Birklehof will depart at 3:00 pm from Freiburg main train station. A representative of the festival will be there 30 minutes prior to the shuttle bus departure. The approximate travel time to the location is 40 minutes.
The shuttle bus from from Hinterzarten/Birklehof to Freiburg main train station will be leaving on August 3, at 7am.

The train stop to meet the shuttle is Freiburg Im Breisgau, also written Freiburg(Breisgau) Hbf.
*Please note: If unable to meet the arrival and departure times of the shuttle service, members of the festival are responsible for their own transportation and the costs incurred.
OTHER RULES/REQUIREMENTS:
- In case of a teacher's unavailability, the Festival reserves the right to re-assign students to a different teacher.
- The festival will not be responsible for individual Medical coverage and expenses or for the supervision of students.
- Students must submit proof of health insurance.
- A parent or guardian may wish to accompany students under 18 years of age.
- Students are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
- Not all students will be assigned to the orchestra. The festival will be making the assignment decisions.
